Extremely rare and one of the fastest BSA twins ever produced. This
bike has matching numbers, has been adult owned and is in great shape.
BSA produced only 200 of these 750 twins for homologation for AMA Pro races
so Dick Man and the other factory racers could compete with the 750.
They were built in 1971 and sold as 1972 models with black frames. BSA
did more than a big bore kit, these bikes were stroked and had many updated
parts. They make much more torque than a 650. Titled as a 1971. |

rare as it was reported that much of the production was lost when a ship was
sunk by a U boat while delivering 2500 340's to the Italian military.
The military Chief is much the same as a civilian Chief with the exception
of the big fenders. This machine was in former Indian dealer and
AMA hall of famer, Dick Bettencourt's, collection for many decades.
After sitting in storage for 50 years, the bike was serviced and started
right up. It runs very well, smooth and quiet. Non matching
